President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi delivered a powerful address at the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, calling on all countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to do so immediately in order to safeguard the two-state solution and preserve peace in the region.

At the start of his remarks, President Sisi expressed deep appreciation to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the State of Qatar for hosting the summit at such a critical moment, as Israel’s actions, he said, threaten to turn the entire region into an arena of unchecked aggression that endangers international peace and security.

The Egyptian president extended full solidarity with Qatar following Israel’s attack on its territory, condemning the assault as a blatant violation of international law and a grave precedent that poses a threat to Arab and Islamic national security. He warned that Israeli practices had surpassed all political and military logic, crossing every red line, and declared Egypt’s strongest condemnation of the attack on a state that plays a pivotal mediation role alongside Egypt and the United States.

President Sisi stressed that Israel’s reckless behavior risks dragging the region into a dangerous spiral of escalation, which cannot be tolerated or ignored. He urged the international community to fulfill its moral and legal responsibilities by ensuring such attacks are never repeated, ending Israel’s war on Gaza, and holding perpetrators accountable to end the prevailing culture of impunity.

Reaffirming Egypt’s long-standing principles, the president said that Israel must realize its security cannot be achieved through force, expansion, or collective punishment, but only by respecting international law, the sovereignty of Arab and Islamic states, and by recognizing Palestinian rights. He strongly rejected any plans for the displacement of Palestinians, warning that such proposals are illegitimate, immoral, and would only fuel further conflict and instability.

Sisi underscored that the Palestinian cause remains the key to regional stability, stressing that the only path to lasting peace is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. He pointed to the upcoming Conference on the Two-State Solution to be held in New York on September 22 as a pivotal moment to push forward toward a fair and sustainable settlement, urging immediate recognition of Palestine by all states that have not yet taken that step.
