Sisi Discusses Bilateral Relations with Spain's PM

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Monday a phone call from Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez as both discussed the mutual relationships.

Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said that the Egyptian president lauded the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and Spain. 

Radi also added that El Sisi expressed his aspiration for continued cooperation between both countries in all fields and to continue working closely to advance bilateral relations. 

He also asserted the significance of boosting cooperation in the field of tourism and encouraging the Spanish companies on benefiting from the available investment chances in Egypt, especially in major national projects

On his part, the Spanish Prime Minister expressed his country's appreciation to Egypt's leadership and people, stressing the depth of the friendship and the extended ties between the two countries. 

Sánchez also added that his country is looking forward to developing the bilateral relations between both countries in the different fields.

He also asserted that his country is keen on intensifying the coordination and consultation with Egypt, lauding Egypt's role on laying the foundations of stability in the Middle East and the Mediterranean region. 

The Presidential Spokesman also added that both sides discussed the ways of developing the bilateral relations, as well as, consultation on regional and international issues of common interest, especially the issue of illegal immigration, in addition to the developments of the Palestinian cause.
