Sisi Orders Constructing 3,300 Housing Units in Cairo

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ordered the Armed Forces to construct of 3,300 housing units in Cairo's Oraby axis as part of a national housing project, according to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady on Monday.

President Sisi's instructions came during a meeting with Presidential Adviser for Urban Planning Amir Sayed Ahmed and Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ihab el Far to follow up the construction of national projects across the nation.

"Sisi was briefed on a plan to establish an international bus station on an area of ​​300 feddans at the intersection of the Ring Road and the Cairo/Suez highway, which will include malls, an integrated service area, fuel stations, administrative buildings, and an entertainment area," the spokesman said.

The meeting also reviewed a project to upgrade the eastern entrance to Cairo on the Cairo-Ismailia highway, in addition to the ongoing construction works at the New Administrative Capital and El Galala City.

According to the spokesman, the meeting touched on the workflow at a number of new civil universities nationwide.
