“During the tour, Sisi was briefed on the latest progress in the development of roads and main axes and the new network of bridges in the tenth district in Nasr City and some neighborhoods of the Fifth Settlement, which quickly contributed to ending the traffic congestion in these areas,” said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

The president also inspected the executive position of the new "Shinzo Abe" traffic corridor, which will connect Al-Shaheed Corridor to the Suez Road and the Ring Road, crossing Al-Mithaq Road in Zahraa Madinat Nasr in the Tenth District, on a length of approximately 8 km.

In this regard, Sisi directed for establishing this vital axis according to an advanced engineering and construction plan that allows providing all necessary services for vehicles, taking into account the great importance of this axis in organizing the traffic movement in East Cairo and linking its neighborhoods with the New Cairo neighborhoods and the New Administrative Capital.

“Sisi stressed the importance of adhering to the speedy completion rates for the completion of the road network system and the new axes in the entire East Cairo region and linking them to Greater Cairo regions and new cities,” Rady added.

This new system would make a great paradigm shift in the smooth and rapid movement of citizens, according to the spokesperson.
