President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected on Thursday the ongoing construction work on a number of new road and axis projects in eastern Cairo.
Presidency spokesman Bassam Radi said that during his inspection tour, the president was informed of the pace of work on construction sites, calling for adherence to precautions against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The President viewed the development work in the Cairo Airport area as well as the expansion of Abdel-Hameed Badawi St. into six lanes in both direction, besides the construction of several bridges to reduce traffic congestion in the area.
The spokesman indicated that the president also inspected Nasr City's new bridges network and the main axes that were built in the district.
Sisi also stopped to speak with a group of citizens who were riding a motorcycle that happened to be present during his passage. The president congratulated them on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, listened to their conditions, and stressed their need to adhere to safety measures to ensure their safety.
