President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected this Friday afternoon the development of a number of new road network projects, especially the new axis parallel to the Cairo/Suez road, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

The new axis will link between the areas of the First Settlement and Cairo Airport through the new mass transit station, as well as Masaken Sheraton and the Thunderbolt Road will become a new traffic artery linking the neighborhoods and areas of East Cairo with the communities of New Cairo.

Sisi also inspected the expansion works and raising the efficiency of the ring road from east Cairo to the Khosous area, as well as the executive position for the development of the Ain Shams area.

"The President followed up with officials and site supervisors the rates of implementation and the progress of work," said Rady.

Moreover, Sisi stressed the technical and construction efficiency of the axes and new roads, taking into account the paramount importance of these roads and axes in regulating traffic in the areas of Greater Cairo and the cities and urban communities in their geographical surroundings.

The Spokesman also noted that Sisi stopped during the inspection tour to exchange greetings and talk with a number of citizens, adding that the President listened to their requests and needs.
