Sisi Inaugurates AI Forum, Highlights Importance of Inter-Arab Co-op

On Monday, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated the Arab Intelligence Forum, via video conference, stressing the importance of inter-Arab intelligence cooperation as a strong and supportive mechanism for cooperation between countries.

During the inauguration, which was attended by Arab delegations, intelligence chiefs and Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Sisi said that terrorism depends on exchanging experiences, information between countries along with continuous development of different confronting mechanisms.

The president stressed the importance of collective action within between Arab counties to restore stability in the region, especially in areas that witnesses instability and crises due to terrorist groups which are backed by other countries and governments.

Sisi called on all Arab countries and the delegations participating in the forum to stand together, reject pision and overcome any differences in order to face chaos, other parties wish to force it within the region.

The heads of intelligence agencies who participated in the forum stressed the importance of the platform in boosting cooperation to protect Arab national security by exchanging points of view on dealing with the rapid challenges facing the region, especially in counterterrorism, organized crime and radical thought.

The Arab Intelligence Forum was held upon the invitation of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service in February 2020.
