President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban held a press conference today, Wednesday, following bilateral talks in Budapest, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
During the press conference, Sisi affirmed that Egypt is taking measures to prevent illegal migration to Europe across Egypt’s borders, primarily from a humanitarian and moral standpoint.
“The President also stressed that preventing illegal migration to Europe requires restoring stability to countries suffering from instability and from migrants crossing into Europe through its seaports,” said Rady.
Sisi pointed out, during the press conference, that “The new administrative capital is an announcement of the new republic after a difficult period in Egypt.”
“I will be very happy when you (Orban) come to Egypt and see the newly-made achievements during the opening of the new administrative capital,” he added.
Orban lauded the close bilateral relations between Egypt and Hungary while affirming his country’s keenness to continue upgrading those relations and enhancing cooperation and coordination at all levels.
