President Abdel Fattah El Sisi honored several distinguished workers from various sectors by awarding them state decorations in recognition of their outstanding contributions and achievements in their respective fields.
Recipients of the First Class Order of Labor included Adel Abdel Fadieel, head of the General Union of Workers in Finance, Taxes and Customs and former chairman of the House of Representatives’ Manpower Committee, for his contributions to labor legislation.
Also awarded was Moussa Mohamed Hassan, deputy head of the General Union of Mine and Quarry Workers, for his role in establishing the solidarity fund of El Nasr Phosphate Company and contributing to regulations supporting irregular workers in the mining sector.
The late Atiya Abdel Bari Mohamed, deputy head of the General Union of Food Industries Workers, was posthumously honored for his contributions to developing regulations in affiliated companies and resolving labor disputes nationwide.
The Second Class Order of Labor was awarded to Safia El Sayed Ahmed, former first deputy head of the General Union of Communications Workers, for her efforts in defending the rights of working women, and Adel Ahmed Omran, head of the General Union of Workers in Banks, Insurance and Financial Services, for his role in developing banking sector regulations and enhancing workforce capabilities.
The First Class Medal of Excellence was granted to Karima Abdel Rahman Hassan, director general of Foreigners’ Licensing at the Ministry of Labor, in recognition of her distinguished professional contributions and role in supporting labor market organization and national projects.
The Second Class Medal of Excellence was awarded to Atiyat Sayed Mahmoud, a legal researcher and a person with disabilities, for her achievements in labor legislation and international cooperation.
The Third Class Medal of Excellence went to Wael Hemam Fouad, a mechanical engineer and planning and follow-up director at the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, in recognition of his professional excellence.
The Third Class Medal of Merit was awarded to Heba Mohamed Abdel Rahman, a painter by profession, in recognition of her exceptional perseverance in overcoming challenges and securing a livelihood for her family.
The honors come as part of the state’s recognition of workers’ vital role in advancing development and supporting the national economy.
