Sisi Highlights Importance of Enhancing Tripartite Co-op with UAE, Jordan

On Wednesday, the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, to review the results of the recent visit of the Madbouly-led delegation to the UAE and his participation in a tripartite meeting including Jordan, according to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi .

During the meeting, Sisi and Madbouly discussed the importance of the three-way cooperation with Jordan and the UAE and the launching of the Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Economic Development which manifests the hoped-for goal of achieving Arab economic integration.

President Sisi called for enhancing coordination and close cooperation among all ministries and bodies concerned to accelerate the activation of the initiative and start implementing the projects it includes in various sectors in order to achieve economic integration among the three countries.

The three sides agreed on the establishment of an investment fund managed by the ADQ Holding Company with investments estimated at $10 billion dollars to implement projects included in the initiative.

Madbouly also reviewed the outcome of his meetings with UAE businessmen and investors.

The meeting comes as part of efforts to increase the number of UAE companies operating in Egypt.
