President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi praised behavior of a number of youth who cleaned their seats at the Cairo International Stadium after the end of the 2019 AFCON opening match.
On June 21, the African Cup of Nations 2019 was inaugurated, and Sisi attended the opening ceremony followed by a match between Egypt and Zimbabwe.
Egypt won the match with a goal scored by Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet.
One day later, the official page of President Sisi posted a video of some young men while they were collecting rubbish and waste left behind the match’s audience at the stadium.
"I am proud of this respectful model for our youth who presented an honorable image of our dear Egypt to the world,” Sisi wrote.

AFCON is deemed the oldest African championship in the continent. The tournament is scheduled to run until 19 July.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino, CAF head Ahmad Ahmad, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi, and a number of African officials attended the tournament's opening ceremony.
Egypt, the host country, presented a huge opening ceremony which included many artistic shows. The concert included a song performed by Egyptian singer Hakim, with the participation of Nigerian singer "Fimi Koteh" and Ivorian singer "Dubie”.
In televised comments after Friday’s match, Sisi said security measures implemented at the AFCON opening game may pave the way for fans to return to the stands in local competitions, after years of matches behind closed doors.
"The tournament, in terms of its new booking and security measures, offers an opportunity to allow fans to attend the coming games of the national football league and cup in the same civilized manner we witnessed in the opening game," Sisi stated.
A limited number of fans are allowed to attend domestic games at present, after the Egyptian Football Association partially lifted a long-standing crowd ban earlier in the season.
