Sisi: Egypt Indebted to Millions of Farmers

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi greeted Thursday all framers nationwide on the occasion of Egypt's 69th Farmer's Day, according to his official social media accounts.

Sisi said that "I extend my greetings and appreciation to the Egyptian farmer on his day," adding "the Egyptian farmers won their independence, freedom, pride and dignity."

He added that "I affirm that we are very keen to support farmers, and to harness all the necessary capabilities to provide them with a decent life."

"Egypt as per the homeland of the pyramids, the Suez Canal, and the High Dam is indebted to the effort and brilliance of millions of farmers throughout history," the President stressed.
