President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated on Wednesday the African Peoples on Africa Day, stressing Egypt’s keenness to back its African neighbors.

“I congratulate all the brotherly African peoples on the occasion of “Africa Day”, the day that marks a great historical commemoration, which has established a new era of promoting unity and joint cooperation among the countries of our continent,” Sisi posted on his official Facebook accounts.

He added: “On this occasion, I reiterate that Egypt will continue to strive, side by side with its African brothers, to achieve sustainable development and strengthen joint efforts to find solutions to the problems and conflicts that the continent has been suffering from for decades, and which have prevented its people from fulfilling their dreams.”

Sisi noted that “Here we are today, taking our firm steps toward creating a stable continent that ensures a decent life for its peoples and spreads a culture of civilization, tolerance and love for the whole world. May the African peoples live in progress, stability and prosperity.”
