Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has just arrived at the headquarters of the 2nd Russia-Africa summit in St.petersburg to partcipate in the opening session.
It is worth mentioning that, Sisi arrived in St. Petersburg, on Wednesday, to participate in Russia-Africa summit.
Official Presidential Spokesman Ahmad Fahmy said 2nd Russia-Africa summit was launched in 2019, under Egypt’s chairmanship of African Union (AU).
The 1st Russia-Africa summit was held in Sochi, co-hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin and President El-Sisi, to reinforce and deepen the distinguished and historic relations between African continent and Russia.
It also aimed at enhancing consultations between the two sides on ways to address common challenges.
Furthermore, the spokesman noted that this year’s edition will include two plenary sessions and will issue a Final Communiqué.
Moreover, a number of economic, trade and cultural activities will be held on the sidelines of the summit, foremost of which, the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum.
