President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended Thursday the assessment tests conducted for the selection of applicants to the military colleges and institutions, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

"Sisi was received at the headquarters of the Military Academy by Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant-General Osama Askar," said Rady.

The President followed, through the electronic system for test results, the data and grades of each student. The system shows the grades obtained by students while performing all the stages of the tests before reaching the assessment test.

He stressed that the Armed Forces follow all scientific standards in the selection of the best candidates from all segments of society, based on integrity and transparency to complete the mission of defending Egypt's security and stability.

This shall take place after their preparation in accordance with the latest methods and programs of scientific, physical and military training.

The President discussed a number of current local, regional and international issues with the applicants as well as general information, lauding their level of awareness and intellect.

Furthermore, he affirmed the importance of being armed with science and knowledge as well as the importance of reading to create an impenetrable wall, along with their peers in civil universities and institutes to counter the challenges that the Egyptian state is witnessing.

President Sisi advised the students to set an example for all the sons of Egypt, as they are an integral segment of the youth, to continue the journey of giving to Egypt and its great people.

"The President wished them all success in passing the tests and receiving the honor of joining the prestigious Egyptian military institution," the spokesman added.
