Tanzania's Simba ended Al Ahly of Egypt's winning run on Tuesday in the CAF Champions League after they snatched a 1-0 victory over the African champion, to top Group A with the full mark.

Mikoson fired the hosts ahead when he unleashed a powerful right-foot shot from the outside of the box to the left right corner as the ball hit the bar and got into the net.

Midfielder Kahraba came close to putting the Red Devils ahead in the 17th minute, when Junior Ajayi made a brilliant pass to him, to fire a powerful shot, which went above the bar.

The African Champion's goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy came into action as his great save denied a brilliant shot from the Tanzanian team.

A fine move played from Simba's player in the 71st minute, and the ball reached to forward Yassin, who fired a powerful shot from the inside of the box, but the ball went above the left post.

The Red Devils will take on Vita Club on Friday, March 5, while Simba will clash against Sudan's Merreikh on the same day.
