Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with Oman's Chairman of Shura Council Shaikh Khalid Al Maawali, on Sunday, to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral relations in various fields of cooperation.
During his visit to Oman, Shoukry had a tour at the Council of State and inspects the Shura Councils as well. He was briefed on the vital role of the Council and its legislative and parliamentary powers.
Moreover, the minister also had a fruitful meeting with Sheikh Abdul-Malik Al-Khalili, Chairman of Council of State.
"The meeting focused on emphasizing the strong bonds that unite Egypt and Oman, and the importance of continuing to develop the course of bilateral relations, including strengthening parliamentary cooperation frameworks and exchanging experiences between the two legislative authorities,"Ahmed Hafez, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, said on Twitter.
