Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Thursday a phone call from his US counterpart, Anthony Blinken.
Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the two ministers discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in light of the depth and strength of the strategic relations between Cairo and Washington in order to push the relations towards broader horizons.
The spokesman added that the call also dealt with a number of regional issues as the two ministers exchanged visions on reaching solutions to multiple crises and achieving stability and security in the region.
