Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry will head to Chadian capital Ndjamena on Sunday to take part in the 1st meeting of the ministerial mechanism that comprises foreign ministers (FMs) of Sudan’s neighbors, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zaid said.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman stated that the FMs of neighboring countries will discuss in their meeting various aspects of the Sudanese crisis, in all its security, political and humanitarian dimensions, as well as its effects on the Sudanese people and its regional and international repercussions.
The discussions aim to put forward practical proposals that would enable the heads of states and governments neighboring Sudan to move effectively to reach solutions that put an end to the current crisis, and preserve the unity and territorial integrity of Sudan and the capabilities of its brotherly people.
