Shoukry Meets President of UN General Assembly

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held talks today, Thursday, in New York, with the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Abdullah Shahid.

Shoukry congratulated Shahid on his election as President of the 76th session of the General Assembly.

Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the meeting dealt with the most prominent issues and topics on the agenda of the General Assembly and its priorities during the next stage.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs had met with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken within the framework of the strategic relations between Egypt and the United States, in order to discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues that represent a priority for the two countries, according the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Hafez.
