Today, Thursday, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio on the sidelines the seventy-sixth session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The two ministers discussed bilateral relations between Egypt and Italy, as well as regional issues of common interest.
Shoukry intensified his meetings during the past three days, after he arrived in New York last Sunday to participate in the meetings of the seventy-sixth session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Shoukry's visit includes participating in a number of events to present Egypt's vision and position towards current issues in the region and ways to support the pillars of peace and security at the international and regional levels.
