Shoukry Heads to London to Hold 1st Egypt-UK Partnership Council

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed to London, on Sunday, to hold the first partnership council between Egypt and the UK.

Shoukry and British counterpart Liz Truss will touch upon bilateral relations between the two countries, Ahmed Hafez, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, said.

With the participation of British Minister for Trade Policy Penny Mordaunt, the two officials will discuss economic and trade issues in line with the council's theme.

On his part, Hafez noted that the council seeks to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and the UK in various fields, adding that the Egyptian minister will hold several bilateral meetings during the visit to boost consultations between the two sides.
