Shoukry Discusses Palestinian-Israeli Situation with Lapid

On Friday, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli situation with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid through a phone call.

Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Shoukry congratulated Lapid for handling the responsibility of the Israeli minister of foreign affairs.

Next, the Egyptian minister underscored the importance of moving the frozen negotiations between Israeli and Palestine, in addition, he called for launching a major process of peace for attaining peace in the region.

He asserted that Egypt will continue its efforts for achieving peace in the middle east accordingly to international law and Security Council decisions.

Also, Shoukry underlined the necessity of stopping any motives for creating any further escalations between Israel and Palestine and the importance of supporting Palestine's reconstruction.

The minister concluded by asserting Egypt's care of moving forward to achieve peace and stability for all region's peoples.
