US reports indicated that a mass shooting occurred at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, leaving several people injured, as security forces rushed to the scene.

The Attorney General confirmed in a statement that several people were shot on the Lincoln University campus in Chester County during graduation ceremonies, according to CBS News.

According to the New York Post, US police sources said that at least four people were injured in the shooting at the university and were subsequently transported to Christina Hospital for treatment.

The newspaper quoted law enforcement authorities as confirming that there was no "active shooter," noting that "the suspect is still at large" after fleeing the scene.

According to security authorities, the motive for the attack is unknown, nor are any accomplices of the suspect involved in any way in carrying out the crime.
