Prominent TV anchor Ahmed Shobair said on Monday that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has a deep interest in partaking in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, set to be held in Japan.
The tournament will take place from July 23 till August 8, as the Egyptian Olympic national team qualified for the tournament after winning the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations title.
"Mohamed Salah will seek to participate in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, especially in the light of the recent bad results of Liverpool," Shobair said during his radio program on "ON Time Sports."
He also added that it will be so hard for the Reds to qualify for the next season UEFA Champions League, after this season's bad results in the Premier League as they are now in the sixth spot.
"The iconic Egyptian star has a deep interest in partaking in the tournament to achieve another new record in his stunning football career," the former Al Ahly goalkeeper added.
