The Minister of Education, Tarek Shawki, commented Monday on the rumors of the Egyptian Armed Forces' interference in the educational process in Egypt.

Regarding the demands of some citizens to close schools because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, the Education minister said: “The closure decision is a state’s decision and should not rely on social media calls.”
