Sharm El Sheikh Welcomes Football Champions for People of Short Stature

Sharm El Sheikh National Museum received, on Thursday, participants in the ‘Arab Cup Football Championship’ for people of short stature.

This comes within the framework of the fourth edition of the ‘International Festival for People with Disabilities and Short Stature’.

Under the auspices of the ministries of Tourism & Antiquities, Youth & Sports and Social Solidarity, the festival is hosted at Sharm El Sheikh; its the slogan “You & I are one”.

On her part, Eman Abdel Rahman, Director General of the Internal Offices of the General Authority for Tourist Activation, stressed that the Ministry of Tourism’s sponsorship comes from its great interest to accomplish Egypt’s vision 2030.

She also highlighted the ministry's exerted efforts to raise the efficiency of services provided to Egyptian visitors and tourists in museums and archaeological sites at the level of the Republic.

In the same vein, Dr. Islam Nabil, director of office of Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation in Sharm El-Sheikh, said the delegation had enjoyed the tour and expressed their admiration for the artifacts displayed there, adding that they were keen to take many souvenir photos in the museum.

In addition to Egypt, the ‘Arab Cup Football Championship’ will also include teams from Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Sudan, as well as the Spanish national team.
