Napoli were held to a 2–2 draw by Hellas Verona on Wednesday evening in their Serie A clash at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, as part of Matchday 18 of the Serie A.
Hellas Verona stunned the hosts with a strong first-half performance, taking a two-goal lead through Martin Frese in the 16th minute and Gift Orban, who converted a penalty in the 27th minute.
Napoli responded in the second half, with Scott McTominay pulling one goal back in the 54th minute before captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo equalized late in the match in the 82nd minute to salvage a point for the home side.
Following the draw, Napoli moved to third place in the Serie A standings with 38 points, while Hellas Verona remain in 18th position with 13 points.
