Senegal's President Awards Extraordinary Bonuses to African Champions

The Senegalese capital, Dakar, witnessed massive public celebrations following Senegal's victory in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, after their 1-0 win against Morocco in the final match held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

In an unprecedented move, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomêne Faye appeared at an official reception for the players and coaching staff at the Presidential Palace to announce exceptional bonuses for the champions, including star player Sadio Mané, who led his country to the continental title.

The Senegalese president confirmed that each player would receive €115,000 in addition to a 1,500-square-meter plot of land in the Petit Sahel area of ​​Dakar, while each member of the national football federation received €75,000 and a 1,000-square-meter plot of land.

The celebrations didn't stop with the players and the federation. Bassirou Dioméï Faye announced the allocation of €465,000 and plots of land to all ministry employees who accompanied the national team during the tournament, in recognition of their efforts and contribution to this historic achievement.

The streets of Dakar witnessed a massive public procession, with the city adorned with national flags and thousands of fans gathering to celebrate Senegal's first title since the 2015 edition, in a festive scene reflecting the joy of an entire nation at their national team's success.
