The Confederation of African Football announced that Senegal will host the 2026 Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations following approval by the organization’s executive committee.

The decision reflects CAF’s confidence in Senegal’s ability to organize major continental sporting events and recognizes the country’s growing role in developing beach soccer across Africa.

Senegal is considered the dominant force in African beach soccer and holds the record for the most Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations titles. The national team has won the last five consecutive editions of the tournament, including the 2024 championship held in Egypt.

The upcoming tournament is expected to attract some of Africa’s strongest beach soccer teams as the continent continues expanding investment and interest in the rapidly growing sport.

CAF said the selection of Senegal highlights the country’s strong sporting infrastructure and experience in hosting international football competitions.

Senegal has emerged as one of Africa’s leading football nations in recent years, achieving success in multiple competitions at both senior and youth levels.
