Secretary-General of Islamic Research Academy meets acting ambassador of Uzbekistan

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, Dr. Nazir Ayad, received in his office this morning, the acting ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to discuss aspects of joint scientific cooperation between the Islamic Research Academy and Uzbekistan’s research centers, within the framework of the role of Al-Azhar and its scientific mission in all countries of the world.

The Secretary-General stressed that Al-Azhar, under the leadership of Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, welcomes all aspects of scientific cooperation to achieve its message and spread moderation all over the world.

The Secretary-General added that the academy, as one of the research bodies at Al-Azhar, spares no effort in joint work for the sake of the world and its people, and is aware of the importance of the current stage in which the world faces intellectual challenges that require a decisive confrontation and integrated cooperation among all scientific and cultural institutions to protect people from any Intellectual fallacies that would take religion as a pretext to commit acts of violence and sabotage.

For his part, the acting ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan thanked Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and its Grand Imam for the active role he plays on the scientific level in order to serve humanity and achieve social peace and coexistence among all.
