A number of Scotland supporters have reportedly had their U.S. Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) permits revoked ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, raising concerns for fans planning to attend the tournament.
According to reports from The Times, affected supporters had already spent significant amounts on match tickets, flights, and accommodation, leaving them at risk of losing thousands of euros if they are unable to secure alternative travel authorization in time for the competition.
The issue comes just days before the World Cup kicks off across the United States, Canada, and Mexico on June 11.
On the sporting side, Scotland national football team have made a late adjustment to their World Cup squad, adding 19-year-old midfielder Tyler Fletcher from Manchester United's Under-21 team after his recent appearances for the senior side.
Scotland will compete in Group C alongside Morocco, Brazil, and Haiti, facing a challenging path as they aim to progress to the knockout stages of the expanded 48-team tournament.
