Scientific cooperation between the National Research Center and Zhejiang University of China

Thursday, 11/30/2023, witnessed the completion of the signing of a scientific cooperation agreement at the headquarters of the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Sciences, Zhejiang University in the Chinese city of Hanzhou, between Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Salam - Acting Dean of the Food and Nutrition Industry Research Institute and a representative of Professor Dr. Hussein Darwish - Acting President of the National Research Center, in the presence of leaders from Zhejiang Executive University, where the signing took place at the headquarters of the Egyptian side, as well as at the headquarters of the Chinese side, in the presence of representatives from the leadership of both parties. 

It is worth noting that last July 2023, the agreement was signed at the headquarters of the National Research Center under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hussein Darwish, Acting President of the National Research Center, and Professor Dr. Mamdouh Moawad - Vice President of the Center for Research Affairs and International Relations, and in the presence of the Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in Cairo and Professor Dr. / Hai Yong - Dean of the College of Biosystems Engineering, representing Zhejiang University, China.

This event came on the sidelines of the second edition of the international workshop between the National Research Center and Zhejiang University under the title “The latest technological developments in the fields of detection, estimation, and extraction: The Belt and Road Project between Zhejiang University and the National Research Center,” between the main researcher of the Chinese side. Professor Dr. Thioli Li, representing the Chinese side, and the principal researcher for the Egyptian side, Dr. Mostafa Gouda, representing the National Research Center.

This session was held at the headquarters of Zhejiang University, which is ranked among the 35 most powerful universities in the world. Aspects of this cooperation have so far included the publication of many scientific research in high-impact international journals, where more than 40 scientific research has been published between the two sides. As well as publishing scientific books for international periodicals such as Elsevier and Springer Nature, and scientific exchange of faculty members and research between the two sides.
