The data of the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia revealed that the gross domestic product (GDP) in the Kingdom in the first quarter grew by 3.9% on an annual basis.
The authority said in a statement posted on its website, that non-oil activities led the Saudi economy to grow in the first quarter of 2023.
The authority stated that non-oil activities grew by 5.8%, while government service activities grew by 4.9%, and oil activities increased by 1.3% on an annual basis.
The International Monetary Fund says the Saudi economy grew 8.7% last year, but expects the kingdom's GDP growth to drop to 3.1% this year.
