Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned and denounced the actions of an extremist in the Swedish city of Malmo who, with the knowledge of local authorities, burned a copy of the Holy Quran, describing it as a "heinous crime."

In a press statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Sunday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry renewed its "firm rejection of all such blatant acts, which unfortunately have been systematically repeated in several European capitals, under the pretext of freedom of expression, to provoke the feelings of millions of Muslims around the world."

The ministry emphasized the Kingdom's call on Swedish authorities to urgently counter these practices and halt the issuance of permits to this extremist group, which contributes to inflaming hatred and racism.
