Saudi giants Al-Ittihad have set their sights on signing Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United, according to reports.

Fernandes joined United in January 2020 and remains under contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2027, with an option for a further year.

The midfielder was previously on the radar of Al-Hilal, who explored a move ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup earlier this year.

However, the deal fell through as Fernandes expressed his desire to stay in Europe.

Al Ittihad’s renewed interest comes after talks with Porto midfielder Rodrigo Mura collapsed without a final agreement, as reported by Saudi daily Arriyadiyah.

With negotiations for Mura ending, the Jeddah club have shifted their focus towards Fernandes and have already begun initial contacts over a potential move this summer.

Despite this, the transfer is expected to be highly complicated. Fernandes has turned down multiple Saudi approaches in the past, prioritizing European competition over lucrative financial offers.
