Saudi Al Hilal reached a new historical milestone by setting the record for the most successive wins in the history of football with 28 successive wins.

Al Hilal set a new Guinness record after defeating Ittihad Jeddah 2-0 in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League. 

Al Hilal broke the record of the Welsh New Saints F.C., which made 27 successive wins between August 14, and December 30, 2016, and Ajax, which made 26 wins between 1971, and 1972.
