Italy's Heritage Authority has agreed on demolishing AC Milan and Inter Milan's San Siro as the famous stadium is set to be replaced by a new stadium, with a capacity of 60,000 fans.

Since it was built in 1926, the big two clubs in the European country share this stadium as it is considered one of the most valuable and important stadium in the whole globe.

The story of the new stadium began, when both clubs filed a request in the last year to jointly build a new 60,000-seater stadium next to the existing ground, according to BBC.

Although approval from heritage authorities is not the final decision, it is an important step towards implementing the plan.

The San Siro has undergone several redevelopments and only a small remnant of the oldest part of the stadium remains.
