Samaa’ Festival for Spiritual Music, Chanting to Close Tonight

Samaa' International Festival for Spiritual Music and Chanting 13th edition closing ceremony will take place tonight, Thursday.

Directed by Intisar Abdel Fattah, the event will honor iconic Egyptian poet Ahmed Shawki, Lebanese legendary singer Fayrouz, and celebrated chanter Mohamed El Fayoumi.

On Prophet Mohamed’s Birth celebrations (El Moleed), the closing ceremony of the festival will include a spiritual chanting session entitled “Ya Gamal El Naby” (Prophet’s Beauty).

This exceptional edition of the festival had taken place between 22nd and 29th October and it witnessed the participation of more than 20 groups.

Lebanon was chosen as the guest of honor and Um Kalthoum was the icon of the event.
