Cairo-based filmmaker Karim Shaaban has shared the official trailer for his short film "I Don’t Care If the World Collapses", which world premieres at the 48th Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF).
The short film stars Salma Abu Deif, Emad Rashad, Amir Salaheldin, Emad El Tayeb, and more.
Shaaban direct the pic from a script by Wael Hamdy. Guacamole Studio’s Productions is the studio behind the film.

The Oscar-qualifying festival will take place April 3-13, 2024 at Playhouse Square, followed by CIFF48 Streams, sponsored by PNC, which will take place April 14-21, 2024 online.
CIFF48 will showcase 138 feature films and 225 short films from 60 countries. More than 300 filmmakers will be in Cleveland for Festival post-film Q&As, industry events, and additional audience interaction opportunities.
The festival is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.
The CIFF is made possible in part by state tax dollars allocated by the Ohio Legislature to the (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
Abu Deif recently drew attention with her mad acting skills in the TV series "Aala Nesbet Moshahda" (Highest Viewership).
The drama consisted of 16 episodes and marked Abu Deif's first lead role in a drama. It was one of the most viewed shows screened during the first half of the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
The cast also starred Enaam Salosa, Entesar, Mohamed Mahmoud, Ahmed Fahim, Layla Ahmed Zaher, and more.
It is scripted by Samar Taher, directed by Yasmine Ahmed Kamel, and produced by the E-Producers production company.
