Former Al Ahly player Saleh Gomaa revealed that the main reason he chose to join Cleopatra FC is because of their ambition, adding that the club's board of directors resembles his former club's.
"When I left Al Ahly, I was looking for a club whose board of directors would be like theirs and this is what I found in Cleopatra FC," Gomaa said at the press conference to introduce him with his fellow new players on Monday.
Gomaa added, "Coach Haitham Shaaban is not a stranger to him, he is the one who helped train him at Enppi and allowed him to play in the Premier League, and I would have preferred to be with a coach who gives me confidence.
He continued, "The negotiations for Ceramica did not take more than 10 minutes and I know joining a club with this ambitious will help me regain my confidence".
