Liverpool and Egypt National team star Mohamed Salah is set to be out of action for 21-28 days, Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas announced on X.

Abbas said in a short statement: “The injury is more serious than first thought. He will be out for 21-28 days."

"His best chance at participating in the current AFCON is by undergoing intensive rehabilitation in the UK and rejoining the team as soon as he is fit," he added.

Liverpool Football Club has announced the return of their Egyptian forward, Mohamed Salah, to England following an injury he incurred while on international duty with the Egypt national team in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. The news comes as a significant development for the Premier League club and its fans.

Salah, one of Liverpool's key players, sustained the injury during Egypt's match against Ghana in the tournament's second round of group-stage games. The forward was forced to exit the game in the first half due to the injury, raising concerns about his ability to participate in Liverpool's upcoming matches.
