The British newspaper said that Liverpool is so close to making use of what they spent to bring a high-quality team together as they are so close to claiming the first Premier League title since 1990. Despite their heavy spending, the Reds came third after Man Utd and Man City.
"Despite boasting the top spot on the pitch, on the pay roll they sit behind Manchester United and Manchester City in third - spending £113.256m on salaries in the 2019/20 season," Mirror explained.
