Reports suggest that Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has given initial approval to open negotiations with Turkish club Fenerbahçe ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to sources, the Istanbul-based club has made early contact with Salah’s representatives in a bid to explore the financial and sporting conditions of a potential deal. The discussions are said to be positive, with Fenerbahçe presenting an informal offer to assess the player’s expectations.
Salah is reportedly open to a yearly salary in the region of €12–13 million, as he prioritizes remaining in European football and competing at a high level rather than moving immediately to the Saudi Pro League, despite strong financial interest from clubs in the Middle East.
The forward is believed to view Fenerbahçe as an ambitious sporting project, capable of competing domestically and in European competitions, which aligns with his desire to continue playing at an elite level.
However, sources emphasize that negotiations are still at an early stage, and no final agreement has been reached. Saudi clubs remain in the background as a potential alternative, meaning Salah’s future is still open as discussions continue.
