The iconic Egyptian star Mohamed Salah featured in Liverpool's starting line-up against Norwich City on Friday.

The Reds will kick-off their campaign in the Premier League at Anfield Stadium later today. Mane is still absent after Senegal qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations final, which they lost 1-0 to Algeria on 19 July.

Salah returned to Liverpool training on Friday, July 30 as he did not participate in the Reds’ preparation camp because of his international commitment. The Liverpool star played with the Pharaohs in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, held in Egypt where his side suffered a shock exit by South Africa in the last 16.

It is worth mentioning that the Reds claimed the UEFA Champions League title after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in June.

Liverpool began this season with a defeat by Manchester City, who made the ideal start to the 2019-20 season after beating the Reds 5-4 on penalties to claim the 2019 FA Community Shield title at Wembley Stadium.

The UEFA Champions will take on Chelsea on Wednesday, August 21 in the UEFA Super Cup.

Liverpool's starting line-up is as follows.:

Goalkeeper: Alisson

Defenders: Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson

Midfielder: Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum

Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi
