Liverpool, led by Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, hosts city rivals Everton on Saturday afternoon at Anfield in the Merseyside Derby, part of Matchweek 5 of the Premier League.

The Reds sit top of the table with 12 points, holding a perfect record after four games, three points clear of Arsenal, Tottenham, and Bournemouth.

Everton, enjoying one of their strongest starts in recent seasons, are sixth with seven points.

Liverpool relies heavily on Salah to continue their winning momentum and secure a sixth consecutive victory in all competitions.

However, the task won’t be easy, as Everton have shown defensive solidity, keeping three clean sheets in their last five matches, while new signing Jack Grealish, on loan from Manchester City, has added creativity and flair to their attack.

Salah, now the Premier League’s all-time leading foreign scorer with 188 goals, surpassing legends Andy Cole and Sergio Agüero, has a strong record in the derby.

In 13 league appearances against Everton, Salah has scored 8 goals and provided 2 assists.

He has won 6 matches, drawn 5, and lost only 2, underlining his decisive role in past encounters.

The Egyptian captain is also chasing another milestone: he needs just 12 more goals to reach 200 in the Premier League.

If he achieves it, Salah will become the first non-British player to hit that mark, joining an elite list that includes Alan Shearer (260), Harry Kane (213), and Wayne Rooney (208).
