Salah, Elneny Set to Join National Team as Egypt is Taken off Red List

Egyptian internationals Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny will have no problem joining the national team as Egypt will be taken off England’s travel red list.

FIFA is no longer allowing exemptions for players to opt-out of the trips if they are forced to quarantine on their return to countries to resume club duties.

However, this didn’t stop the Premier League clubs from denying a lot of players from participating with their national teams due to their countries being on England’s travel red list, meaning that the players will need to be quarantined when they are back to their clubs.

Egypt was affected by the clubs’ decision as Mohamed Salah and Elneny both missed Egypt’s opening game in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Angola.
