Mohamed Salah made an outstanding assist as Liverpool snatched a hard-fought 2-1 Uefa Champions League victory over Genk at Anfield on Tuesday.

Georginio Wijnaldum had rocked the Anfield venue after only fourteen minutes when he received an outstanding cross from Milner who applied a deft, hooked finish.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain came close to cementing the Reds' lead in the 30th minute after he twisted and turned just inside the box, firing a shot which was blocked by defenders of Genk. Seven minutes later, Salah unleashed an outstanding shot past the left-side post.

Samatta's 14-minute equalizer silenced the Anfield as when he received a well-played corner with a powerful header, planting the ball into Alisson's net.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's 53-minute goal sealed the victory for the Reds when the iconic Egyptian star Mohamed Salah delivered a perfect pass to Chamberlain, who fired a powerful shot rocking the Anfield stadium. Liverpool now ranks first with nine points as they made use of Napoli's 1-1 draw with Red Bull Salzburg.

Liverpool’s head coach Jurgen Klopp has made six changes in the line up from the previous one against Aston Villa on Saturday’s Premier League confrontation, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the Champions League winners.

Noteworthy, Salah’s stunning goal in last season Premier League encounter against Chelsea was selected among Nominees for Goal of the Season at the Northwest Football Awards.
