Mohamed Salah, Liverpool star and captain of the Egyptian national team, arrived at Cairo International Airport a short while ago to join the Pharaohs' camp at a hotel before traveling to Morocco for the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Djibouti.
Mohamed Salah was welcomed by children carrying Egyptian flags, close friends, and Shaaban Bastawy, the Egyptian Football Association's Public Relations Director.
The Egyptian national team, led by coach Hossam Hassan, is seeking to secure qualification for the World Cup for the fourth time in its history when it faces Djibouti and Guinea-Bissau on October 8 and 12, in the final round of African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
