On Tuesday, Bayern Munich's football star, and Senegal national football team forward Sadio Mane returned to training once again after recovering from 70+ days of injury.
He appeared with his teammates for the first time since his injury, and it seems that he will miss the team's next game against Paris Saint Germain in UEFA Champions League.
Last November, the 30-year-old suffered from an injury to his right fibula during Bayern Munich's 6-1 Bundesliga win over Werder Bremen.
Shortly, Bayern Munich announced that Mane went "successful" surgery in Austria.
"Sadio Mane underwent successful surgery in Innsbruck by Prof Christian Fink and Dr Andy Williams from London on Thursday evening," the German club said in a statement.
It added: "During the operation, a tendon was reattached to the head of his right fibula. The Bayern forward will therefore no longer be available to play for Senegal at the World Cup and will begin his rehab in Munich in the next few days."
Mane missed participating with his team in the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
